We are excited to present this unique 1972 Oldsmobile F-85 2-Door Coupe, now transformed into a Cutlass 442 Tribute/Clone. Originally equipped with a bench seat and a 350 V8, this orange coupe retains much of its originality. While it’s not in perfect condition, it offers great driver quality and is priced accordingly.***Please take a moment to view our pictures and check out our YouTube video for an in-depth analysis and details.*****Exterior:**The body presents well, showing some blemishes throughout. There is some rust around a couple of wheel openings, but overall it is very solid and visually appealing. It features its original paint color with added stripes and trim to resemble a Cutlass 442. The panel fitment is good, and the bumpers and trim are in nice condition. We note some cracking in the front grille fascia and a few dents, but there are no signs of major repairs, and the solid underside is reassuring.**Interior:**This coupe originally had a white bench seat interior, which has been updated to a stylish black combination. The dashboard is well-presented, and the gauges are functional and in good condition. The carpets are nice, and the headliner is taut. It is equipped with shoulder harness belts for added safety, and the interior shows beautifully from top to bottom.**Under the Hood/Underbody:**Under the hood lies what we believe to be the original 350 Rocket V8, now enhanced with a 4-barrel carburetor and an electronic ignition system. It runs strong and produces great power. Although it seems to have been originally optioned with air conditioning, some components are missing. The heater fans are also non-functional, but with all four windows down, who needs them? The car starts easily, idles smoothly, and revs nicely on command, with no excessive exhaust smoke or engine noise. A security system is installed, which can be a bit bothersome; we recommend removing it, as we’ve noticed it drains the battery when not in use.The underside of the car is exceptionally solid, with only two very small spots in the floorboards, roughly the size of a half dollar. There’s no need for concern, but we wanted to note it. The rails are straight and solid, and the body mounts are robust, indicating the car has been garage-kept.**On the Road:**The car drives impressively well, and the power steering makes handling effortless. It tracks straight down the road, although there is a slight pull to the left during heavy braking. The stopping power is excellent, and the transmission shifts crisply without slippage. The suspension feels tight and free of clunks or rattles, making this vehicle a fantastic driver. In conclusion, this 1972 Oldsmobile F-85 is a standout 442 clone that beautifully combines originality with modern upgrades. It represents a fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts looking to own a classic car that delivers both style and a thrilling driving experience. Please take a look at our pictures and be sure to check out our YouTube video for a comprehensive analysis and details.Call or text anytime 312-420-3696
