INCREDIBLE FIND!!1977 Olds Cutlass Salon – Bucket Seat Coupe. According to the original window sticker, this car was built at Oldsmobile’sDoraville GA assembly plant and delivered to Lancaster Motor Company in Lancaster SC as the selling dealer. A Mrs. Sadie Rollings of Lancaser bought the car new. The car was still in SC when I purchased the car from Mrs. Rolling’s nephew. It is my understanding that Mrs. Rolling drove the Cutlass until health issues forced her to put it up. It was buried in a garage for almost 20 years when I found it.
The Olds 350 Rocket runs smooth. AT, A/C, PS, PB. The Cutlass goes down the road great. I have the build sheet and original window sticker as well as owners books.Interior is near mint.
No modifications, stock as it came from the factory other than the dual exhaust that was just replaced. There are some minor body dents that occurred while in storage for years (stuff got piled all over the the car). Being a South Carolina car, the body is very nice. The under body is also like new.
Some of the new parts that have been replaced:
Engine was removed, taken apart, cleaned and completely resealed with new gaskets and frost plugs.
New Thornton performance dual exhaust manifolds and new 2.25"custom welded dual exhaust from front to back.
New plugs, wires.
New universal joints.
Complete coolant flush with new water pump and all new coolant hoses.
Transmission fluid flush and filter change.
New fuel pump and gas filter.
New brake cylinders in both rear wheels. It stops great.
All new belts and hoses - she is ready to drive.
I made a comprehensive video where I go over the car, front to back, start and drive it. Take the time to look at it if you are truly interested. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/_GgNZJPdlE0
The 350 Rocket engine is the original numbers matching 1977 Olds 350. It runs smooth. And it starts on a dime.
