1975 Oldsmobile Delta Eighty-Eight Royale Convertible. Remarkable opportunity to acquire a rare, completely original Classic Oldsmobile Convertible in unmolested condition for reconditioning and recommissioning. Vehicle has been owned and used sparingly for many decades by a prominent car collector. Initially acquired decades ago as an anniversary gift for his late wife, the current owner has kept the vehicle unmolested with plans of doing a full, frame off restoration. COVID travel issues canceled these plans and the owner has chosen to now part with the beloved car. It has been in current ownership for well over thirty years. It spent the first half of the ownership in a South Texas home and the second half as a Summer use/ pleasure vehicle at an estate in the Hudson River Valley. It is being sold strictly where is/as-is... as the remarkable restoration candidate it is. Current ownership planned to redo/refresh the interior whites, replace the top (glass itself is intact), replace the trims/rubbers and refresh the mechanicals fully. While full power features and specs are present, they need full inspection and correction to insure their safe and proper function.While awaiting restoration the car is started and runs but simply insured and not driven. It would obviously require a full tuneup and mechanical corrections and inspection prior to safe operation. However as the vehicle does start, it can be moved very short distances for towing placement, etc..., for the successful buyer. The vehicle is currently 100 miles North of New York City in secure storage on a private Estate.
