Vehicle Original VIN : 338275Z107066
1965 might be the second year for the Oldsmobile Cutlass 442, but for those who love American muscle, you know this is the year the horsepower wars really heated up. The newly available 400 cubic-inch V8 turned this luxury Olds into a street-eating coupe, and this has the correct powerhouse under the hood. In fact, as you look over the full package, this significant classic is highly authentic with just the right well-integrated features to keep it a solid-driving machine.

The Oldsmobile Cutlass was already a great-looking car, and the 442 package added a touch of aggression to its straight-laced style. It was the perfect way for the boss to think you're sensible, but on the weekends, everyone knew not to mess with the wild child. It's especially seen in this one with the factory-correct Saffron Yellow. It appears nice and conservative from afar, but as people get a little closer, they start to be drawn in by upgraded details like the large dual exhaust tips and classic Cragar SS wheels. Plus, the fit of the body panels, cleanliness of the glass, completeness of the side trim, and shine of the bumpers give this a nice overall quality.

The black interior looks great against the creamy yellow exterior. We also like how the setup is pure vintage cool. This doesn't have bucket seats or a floor shifter, and so it fits into the car's touch of incognito style. In fact, it reminds us of the kind of car we'd try to trick our parents into buying because it looked so practical. It looks clean and nice, right down to the details, like the button-top seatbacks, Olds insignia in the doors, and even a working dome light. And we love how the bright dash panel even still carries the AM radio for display. But as vintage as this is, well-placed upgrades like the wood-rimmed steering wheel and auxiliary readouts are there to remind you this is a driver's classic.

Under the hood is exactly what you want to see: a year-correct 400 cubic-inch V8. While we don't have a build sheet for this Cutlass, we do believe it to be a 442 based on all of the current features, including the fact that this is a B-block motor. It looks impressive with its chrome air cleaner and valve covers that compete for shine against the correct golden block. And because this one was made to be driven, you'll appreciate power upgrades like the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor Edelbrock Olds intake. There's even a newer aluminum radiator to help keep the full package running cool. It's a classic that wants you to feel the road, but it also comes with solid driving features like an automatic transmission, modern touring tires, and boxed rear trailing rams with a sway bar.

Complete with the owner's manual, there's an attractive yet driver-ready style to this car. It makes for the kind of muscle car that you'll love to hit the streets and get known around town. And that's what most of us really want in a turn-key muscle car classic. Call today!!!
