The rad styling on this G-Body ought to jog your memory to a time when acid wash jeans, blonde highlighted mullets, net t-shirts, and bright colored jackets were in. Although times (and fashion) have changed since then, the appreciation for a clean '80's Cutlass remains.
You're looking at a Cutlass 442, that has a 5.0L V8 under the hood, and subtle styling changes to make it stand out from other Cutlasses - if you know what you're looking for. The first and most noticeable thing that gives it away is the two tone paint and 442 badging, polished wheels with gold inserts are another clue, but a '9' as the 8th digit of the VIN is the true telltale sign of a 442, but is not as easily seen. The paint is original to the car and remains in good presentable, and glossy condition. The car has been kept stock from the nose to the spoiler. Polished Oldsmobile wheels continue the factory muscle car look of this Cutlass 442.
A very well kept interior dominated by grey cloth and vinyl trim also features silver trim accents, tilt wheel, front bucket seats, and AM/FM/Cassette radio. The original owner's manuals including the maintenance schedule book, and original key chain are also included. Take a seat behind the wheel, adjust the seats and the tilt wheel, and you're ready for a comfortable drive. The car fires on command and runs well. No excuses here.
Times have changed since the G-Body Cutlass' were in showrooms, but one thing that remains the same is that these are desirable cars. Whether you've always wanted one, or you're looking to replace one that 'got away' in the past, the 442 G-Body cars are on collectors radar - it's no secret that these cars are future collectibles.
