1938 Oldsmobile Other Additional Info:
Up for auction is a older 1970's street rod, it has a early camaro subframed with power steering box and drum brakes, also has a 10 bolt camaro rearend. it was running a small block chevy with front mounts. ( which i have that engine mount, but the cross member has the side engine mounts also. it still has a turbo 350 sitting in the car ( know nothing about the trans) the last owner was going to update it and put a new dual master cylinder under floor kit and was converting the rearend over to disc brakes, the caliper brackets are there, but nothing else. he passed away and i bought this at the sale, so what you see is what you get. i think they threw away alot of the parts not knowing what went to which car. the car camaro grafting was done righ, has the right ride stance. the floors are really good for this year model car, needs trunk floor work and a new floor section by gas pedal and hump for the transmission. the inner fenders and misc. parts are inside the car. the 38 has a tn. title. Both doors have little rust at the bottom as i hope you can see in the pics.all the doors and back windows have the latches and window crank stuff still intact.
here is a list of things missingrunning boards ( which can be purchased new)both inside door and back window garnish moldings are missing. ( windshield and back glass ones are still in car)the side trim that is missing down the side and taillightsthe bumpers was eliminated years ago.No interior seats or door panelsThis old 38 has been sitting in dry storage for years, it has a really cool front end on it. dont see many of these at a show, its all chevy or fords.I bought this car to build but right after i bought it, i found a 1941 studebaker champion, that i liked better, so i am building it instead is th reason for selling the 38. If you wanted a rat rod, throw engine and trans in and do brake job and some bucket seats, ready to rollThe 38 olds must be picked up, or the buyer cam arrange for transport. but the 38 must be paid in full before the 38 leaves my yard.
