1968 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Additional Info:
1968 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Hardtop. This is an original number matching 1968 Oldsmobile 442. It came from the factory with a four speed transmission and the 400 CI engine with a four barrel carburetor. I have checked the engine casting number (396026) which is the original 400 CI Oldsmobile engine. The Body data plate and VIN numbers match the title. I am the second owner. I have a clear Utah title in my name, and I have a copy of the original title. My 1968 Oldsmobile runs good and can be driven. It has a new radiator, new radiator hoses, new fuel lines, new battery, and new belts. It also comes with a complete interior carpet set, NOS gas lines that go from the engine to the gas tank, new heater core, and some new inner fender panels. It also comes with two 1968 Oldsmobile repair manuals. I highly value my 100% positive feedback score on Ebay. I have over 1000 positive feedbacks and, with this in mind, I will list in detail both the negative and positive aspects of my 442. In addition, my name is Bob, My phone number is (801) 745-5835. I'm not a car dealer. I've been an antique car nut for over 50 years. I'm selling my Oldsmobile 442 in order to fund an Austin Healey restoration project that is getting expensive. The positive aspects of my 442: 1.This is an original, number matching, car. It runs good, stops okay, and can be driven. The four speed floor shift works properly, but is stiff. The clutch is good. 2. The 442 is almost complete so you won't have to do a lot of parts chasing. 3. In order to get it running, I replaced the radiator, the radiator hoses, cleaned the gas tank, and installed a new battery. On the negative side: Please look closely at all of the photos. My 442 is a restoration project. 1. It has rust problems in the rear fender panels, rockers, and the lower front fenders. The driver's side front fender is an original 1968 Oldsmobile fender, but is not original to the car. The floors and frame are in good shape as well as the trunk floor. 2. The interior is original, but is in need of a complete restoration. Again, please look closely at all of the photos. I have super-sized the photos to assist you in evaluating my car. 3. The front grille is missing the center section. 4. The tires are old and should be replaced before the car is driven any distance or at freeway speeds. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I'm a retired teacher that loves old cars, and I will gladly answer, candidly, any questions you have regarding the condition of the car. I will assist the shipper you select in shipping the car anywhere in the world. If you have less than five (5) positive feedbacks on Ebay, please message me or give me a call before bidding. I want this to be a good, straightforward, auction. The starting bid is only $442.00 and the reserve on the car is well under its value.
