CMC is pleased to bring to the market this 1951 Oldsmobile 98 Deluxe Holiday 2 Door Hardtop. The car was previously in the private collection and fully restored by the Oldsmobile Club of America head member. The The car had a complete nut and bolt rotissierie restoration. All aspects are this classic were rebuilt and restored at the time of restoration.
the original 303 Cubic Inch Rocket V8 engine, and original 4 Speed hydramatic transmission, this rocket V8 rolls well at all speeds. The complete drivetrain was rebuilt during the restoration. The car is equipped with the deluxe genuine leather and original cloth interior. The interior was mostly original and during the restoration, a lot of the original components were used during the restoration to maintain that original look. The car was also optioned with power windows and the entire hydraulic system has been rebuilt. Currently, the windows operate flawlessly. All interior lights, exterior lights and power options work as intended. The car runs and drive great and has excellent road manners. You will be truly impressed with the quality and function of this classic Oldsmobile.
The restoration process stared from the chassis up. The entire chassis was striped and painted black. All fuel line and brake lines were replaced with new lines. The front end was completely rebuilt. The restoration included the use of many NOS components. The body was rust free and still retained the original paint prior to the restoration. The car had zero rust repair and was the most solid and original example to be found. The body with striped to bare metal. The body panels were long boarded with hours of prep work. The paint was expertly applied and polished to show car luster. All of chrome was triple chrome plated included vent windows, all side window frames, bumpers, emblems, rockets, etc. The world globes on trunk and hood with 14k gold plated. The resoration was well executed. The restoration cost today to build a car of this caliber would be in excess of $100k. The restoration was performed some years ago but it still presents extremely well today.
The 1951 Oldsmobile is one the prettiest models with its rolling lines and three piece back window. This car has been well sorted. The car has new Coker WWW tires installed and all of the fluids flushed. This car is ready to be driven to your next car show!
