1972 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Cutlass 442
Clean Clear Illinois Title In Hand
No Reserve
Up for auction is a very nice and clean Vista Cruiser wagon. I purchased this car about 5 years ago from the original owners son. This has been a very fun and reliable car for me and my family. We have taken many trips in it and now it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy. This is a pretty high option car for in its day. It has factory power windows including rear tail gate which are all still fully functional and work great. It has a tilt column, factory am/fm radio (works but reception isn’t the greatest). Factory AC that blows very cold on all speeds. It has a dual action tailgate that works properly in both positions.
Motor:
All original numbers matching 350 with a 2 barrel
Trans:
Original 350 completely rebuilt approximately 2500 miles ago.
Rear End:
Original 10 bolt, unsure of the gear ratio but do know it’s factory.
Interior:
All original in great condition with the exception of the front lower seat that was recovered by the previous owner. That being said the bottom part of the seat is a darker shade than the rest of the interior. As you can see in the photos the seat appears to be ripped but it is actually just the stitching starting to come apart.
Exterior:
Good driver/cruiser condition. No rust around the roof windows. Rockers, doors and fenders are very solid. Tailgate has some blisters on the bottom edge (common on these cars) but otherwise great condition. Passenger spare tire well has the normal rust you see on most of these GM wagons but repairable with minimal work. Right front fender has small crease in it from previous owner. And passenger doors have some small scratches on them.
Here are a list of all the new parts/items that I have replaced on this car within the last 3 years/3,000 miles:
70% of the parts that I have replaced had no defects just was replacing the original parts so I had a piece of mind knowing that I have replaced all the mechanics of this car front to back, top to bottom making it much more safer and reliable to travel with my family in.
Pre-loaded upper & lower control arms (both sides) that included all bushings & ball joints, shocks & springs in front, inner & outer tie rod ends and sleeves (both sides), pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, bearings & seals, idler arm, pitman arm, center link, gear box, rear shocks, springs, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, starter, alternator, ac compressor, wiper motor, blower motor, heater core, 2 ½ in flow master exhaust from Manifolds 2 rear bumper, 442 sport steering wheel, valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires, cap rotor, air & fuel filter, all belts and hoses. All new BFG’s with approximately 1500 miles on them. Tall and wide in the rear, shorter and skinnier in the front.
Every single light, gauge, and accessory works on this car how it should. This car does NOT knock, tick, smoke or leak any fluids. Engine does have normal seepage as with a vehicle of this age but does not leave puddles or go through oil. Get in it and drive cross country with no problems.
