1967 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible 72K miles -- Additional Info:
For sale is possibly the nicest and most legitimate 1967 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible with only 72,876 actual miles in captivity. It’s 1 of only 3,769 Olds 98 convertibles produced in 1967. It’s truly an all original show car. 1st owner purchased the car on 4/17/1967 and kept her till he passed away at the young age of 103 years old in 2016. He had a life time career in heating and air conditioning and the car was garaged in a climate controlled environment it’s whole life, and it shows. 2nd owner purchased her on 3/15/16 from the original owner’s estate to honor a 25yr. old hand shake agreement that he would have first opportunity to purchase. After making the purchase, realizing he didn’t really have the room, and only driving it less than 100 miles, it was luckily offered to us. The car runs, drives and performs like it was new. The exterior and undercarriage is 100% rust free. The body panels are all original and are laser straight. It had a professional repaint in 1986 and the mirror finish shines better than it would have when it was new. The car has been driven less than 1,500 miles since the repaint. The interior is 100% original and flawless. Since it was stored in a climate controlled environment, there are no dash cracks, leather cracks or any discoloration whatsoever. Even the steering wheel is crack free. It is powered by the original, optional, Ultra High Compression 425 cu in/ 375 hp Rocket V8. This is also a very highly optioned vehicle. Power steering, brakes, windows, seat, tilt and telescoping wheel, AM/FM wonder bar seeker radio with bi-phonic rear speakers, air conditioning, power top, power antenna, power trunk release and full wheel covers. Recent brake work, new tires, and new convertible top motor. We have the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, complete service log and protect-o-plate. Name on protect-o-place matches the previous owner’s name on the front of the clear Nebraska title we have in our possession. Only 4 notable flaws. The radio works part of the time. The clock does not work. The A/C engages but locks up. The rear bumper has a miner dent. This car is truly like stepping in to a time warp. It looks, runs and drives like it did when it was new. I have been in the used car business for over 32 years and have always dabbled in old collector cars. I can honestly say this is the cleanest, tightest, nicest, all original, unmolested 50-year-old car I have ever owned and probably one of the nicest in the world. Buy with confidence and be prepared to be amazed. Outside inspections will be welcomed and accommodated at potential buyer’s expense. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call. Joe Eckley .
