HAVE TO SELL MY BABY!!!! I WATCHED MECOM AND BARRETT-JACKSON AUCTIONS FOR YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A 1970 CUTLASS W31 UP FOR AUCTION. THE FOLLOWING IS THE EXACT DESCRIPTION AS WAS ON THE EBAY AUCTION WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR OFF EBAY IN JANUARY 2006. I LOVE THIS CAR BUT IT IS TIME TO SELL IT AND PAY FOR DAUGHTER’S COLLEGE.

“THIS IS A RARE 1970 CUTLASS W31. THIS CAR WAS RESTORED ABOUT 8 YEARS AGO (FROM JAN. 2006) BY A GOOD BODY SHOP BUT NO EXPERT RESTORATION SHOP. THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY GOLD AND HAS BEEN REPAINTED DARK GREEN WITH GOLD STRIPS. IT WAS COATED IN GREEN THEN THE STRIPS WERE DONE AND THEN IT WAS CLEARED SO THE PAINT AND STRIPS SEEM TO BE AS ONE. THE CAR HAS NO MAJOR RUST, THE FLOORS, ROCKERS, TRUNK FLOOR ARE ALL GREAT AND THE CAR HAS ALL ITS ORIGINAL PANELS, THE ¼’S HAD MINOR RUST BUT WERE PATCHED WITH METAL. ALL THE CHROME AND BUMPERS WERE RE-CHROMED. THE CAR HAS ALL NEW BRAKES, ROTORS AND CALIPERS, THE REAR END AND TRANS HAVE BEEN REBUILT AND MOTOR HAS BEEN REBUILT. THE CAR COMES WITH TWO MOTORS. THE ONE IN THE CAR CURRENTLY WAS BUILT FOR MORE PERFORMANCE AND THE ORIGINAL NUMBER MATCHING ONE IF YOU WANT TO GO ALL ORIGINAL. I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR WORK DONE AND THE SHOP IS STILL IN BUSINESS (AS OF 2006) TO VERIFY WORK. ALL THE ENGINE, TRANS AND REAR END WORK WAS DONE AT A SHOP THAT IS HIGHLY RESPECTED IN THE HOT ROD COMMUNITY AND HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS OVER 50 YEARS. THE PHOTOS SHOWS 15 INCH CHROME WHEELS. THE OPTIONS ARE: AK1- DELUXE; A02- TINTED GLASS; A51- BUCKET SEATS; D35 SPORT MIRRORS; FE2-RALLY SUSPENSION; G80- ANTI-SPIN AXEL; D REAR AXEL 3:91 M38- TURBO 350 TRANS N10 DUAL EXHAUST N47- POWER STEERING P05- SUPER STOCK WHEELS; U63 RADIO (NOW HAS AM/FM CD PLAYER) ; W26 SPORT CONSOLE WITH HURST DUAL GATE SHIFTER; W35- REAR SPOILER AND W31- MACHINE PARTS. THIS CAR WAS ALSO A CAR THAT WAS BUILT DURING THE GM STRIKE AND THE 442 BUMPER WAS INSTALLED TO GET IT OUT TO THE DEALER. WHEN I GOT THE CAR IT DIDN’T HAVE THE 442 TIPPED EXHAUST. I ADDED DUE TO THE 442 REAR-BUMPER.”

CURRENT OWNER’S COMMENTS: THIS BEAUTY HAS THE SWEETEST SOUNDING HORN MUFFLERS WHILE IT IS RUNNING AND WHEN YOU PUSH DOWN THE GAS PETAL: WOW!!! STARTS 1ST TIME EVERY-TIME. IT GETS COMMENTS EVERYWHERE IT GOES. THE ONLY THING THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM WHEN I PURCHASED IT IN 2006 IS THE HOOD HINGES ARE OUT OF ALIGNMENT. I HAVE ORDERED REPLACEMENT HINGES AND THEY WILL GO WITH THE CAR. I HAVE REPLACED THE CARPET, DOOR PANELS; I HAVE PARTS FOR OTHER THINGS LIKE THE SPEEDOMETER, ETC. THE TIRES ARE GOOD: (2) REAR TIRES ARE KELLY–CHARGER P255/60R15; AND THE (2) FRONT TIRES ARE KELLY-CHARGER P245/60R15; WE ALSO HAVE THE SPARE TIRE. AS NOTED, THERE IS A SECOND ENGINE (IN PARTS- THAT HAS BEEN STARTED ON- REPAINTED GOLD) THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR. I HAVE NEVER HAD THE TIME TO DO ANYTHING WITH IT, AS I AM NOT AN ENGINE MECHANIC AND THE CURRENT ENGINE FLIES. I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR OVER $10,000.00 IN REPAIRS TO THIS CAR FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER (REBUILT TRANS AND ENGINE, ETC).

i HAVE ADDED PHOTOS OF THE 2ND ENGINE BLOCK AND THE REST OF THE ENGINE IS WRAPPED IN PLASTIC. i CANNOT CONFIRM IT IS 100% COMPLETE BUT THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAID IT WAS. I HAVE ALSO ATTACHED A COPY OF THE RECEIPT WHERE THERE WAS $10K SPENT ON VARIOUS THINGS (ENGINE REBUILT, TRANS, ETC) AND A COPY OF ENGINE SPECS.
