1950 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Additional Info:
Listed for sale is a 1950 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible. Car is a older frame on restoration, factory red, power top, power windows and power seat. Convertible top, black leather interior, trunk interior, fuel system, duel exhaust system and battery are all new. Brake system has been gone through and serviced. All brake lines were replaced, rebuilt starter, convertible top frame was cleaned and painted. All stainless trim was removed and polished. Convertible top seals were replaced as needed. Custom wood grain on dash and garnish rails was done in a Prima Vera Mahogany grain, and colored in a maple tone. White wall tires are in good condition with the spare showing a little ware. Chrome is a mix of original chrome and some pieces that have been rechromed. Original chrome shows light blisters and some pitting. Paint is older and does show some age. Light chips, scratches and minor flaws that you would expect from a older restoration. Glass is in good shape, the windshield does have a small chip in it. All lights, horn, wipers, gauges, heater and turn signals work as they should. The radio is not wired up and a person would have to expect to have it rebuilt in order to get it working. I do not know any history about the car, other than it had a Indiana title when we bought it. The car shows 68,101 miles on it, I can not state that they are original but the car drives out nice with good power. Transmission shifts fine, slight play in steering. Again what would be expected from an older restoration. Over all the car is a nice driver quality convertible, that shows well. But a close inspection will show minor flaws. There are a lot of inspection companies that can look at the car on your behalf. Or a time can be set up to view the car in person. Please email with any question that you may have, more pictures can be emailed as per your request. A part trade might be looked at, but only in the form of a early 30's car.
