1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass "S" For Sale.
This is my wife's car that I upgraded and maintained so she could use it as a daily driver on the nice summer days. We got into motorcycling so the car does not see much use anymore. The car runs, drives, stops, idles, and sounds good. The car is currently on the road and was just inspected last month. This car is reliable and can be driven daily if that is what you desire. This is not a show car but a driver. Here are some details:
1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass "Sâ€
350 Oldsmobile V8 engine (250HP from factory)
Turbo 350 Automatic transmission (3 speed automatic)
Bucket seats with console
Factory air conditioning (does not work but it is all there)
Power steering and power brakes
I have put a lot of money and labor to make this car more comfortable and reliable:
Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
Holley 600 CFM 4 barrel carburetor with electric choke
HEI distributor
Open air cleaner with K&N element
Aluminum radiator
Sunpro tachometer and triple gauge pack
Halogen Headlights
Power front disc brakes were added (drum brakes in rear)
4 New shocks
New rear coil springs
15" Oldsmobile rally wheels
The front bucket seats have new foam and have been recovered using correct original style
Alpine stereo and speakers (6" speakers in front using molded kick panels and 6 X 9's in the rear package tray. Stereo has aux port to hook up with phone or MP3)
This car is not a speed demon. My wife was more interested in reliability and comfort over performance. It has a highway gear setup in the differential. It has some get up and go and a lot of potential if that is what you are after.
The body on this car and the underside is in good shape. The frame is in excellent shape too.
Again this car is not a show car and I am not asking a show car price. Here are some of the known defects. I took photos of these so you can see
Some rust bubbles (mostly rear quarters and under vinyl top)
Vinyl top is missing some sections where it meets the molding
Someone replaced the right side rear quarter and did not blend the top of it in well
Chrome and emblems have pitting
Driver side head rest cover is cracked
Rear seat cover has a rip
Steering wheel has some cracks
Minor leaks - The engine, power steering, and transmission will leak a few drops if the car sits in one place for a while. Nothing major and quite common for a car of this age.
Kickdown cable is currently not hooked up
I have always used Mobil 1 synthetic 15W-50 with zinc in this car. Transmission, and differential oil are also full synthetic.
I have a clean transferable registration in hand. I will also include a factory service manual and assembly manual with the sale. I will only accept cash or a bank wire transfer as payment. If you want to ship the car I will work with your shipper. $500.00 deposit required within 48 hours of auction close. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
Let me know if you have questions or need more pictures.
I have videos of the car. Send me a message and I will send you the links.
