1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 Rocket Additional Info:
You are bidding on a solid 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass. This is a daily driver and in good condition. We purchased the vehicle (2) yrs ago and the previous owner had just upgraded the engine to a 455 CI (400 HP) engine (Engine Code 396021F). I purchased to work on rebuilding with my son who was turning 16 and he is now heading off to college, so decided he wanted to part with the car. Paint looks original with minor touch up on drivers rear panel (some touch up spots and chips), Cragar Chrome Wheels, nice chrome lines on body, Edelbrock 1406 4-barrel Carburetor.
Over the (2) years we:
1) Re-wired the vehicle to original wiring...matching the wiring diagrams from production. I ordered the original gauge and color for each of the wires, and rebuilt the fuse box to align the wires on the side panel. 2) Replaced the head liner, visors3) Replaced all internal panels front and rear4) Replaced cooling system (new radiator, water pump)5) Cutout and welded in new floor. There were several rust spots on the floor of the vehicle, so I ordered new floor pans from OPGI and welded in6) Replaced carpet7) New radio (retro 1965 look, but digital) and speakers with new wires
The vehicle is two-door, with power windows.
There are several projects left that I would have kept working on but looks like my son and wife would like to sell it for space. If interested, contact us through listing and I can share what projects were on the docket. No major projects, just projects to continue to add value. We never drove the vehicle in WI winters. Always parked in garage at first snowfall and pulled out after first spring rain. There are some spots in the paint of surface rust, but only from a close inspection. All in all body in great shape. Chromes do show slight bubbling, but again...for 52 yrs old, pretty minimal. I have enjoyed getting replacement factory parts from OPGI and doing the rebuilds. Fun project.
I will continue to update listing with answers to questions received.
