1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Additional Info:

1971 442 ...This car was last on the road in 1989 before a great amount of work went into it to get it in the current condition. The car was original red car, but in 1980's it was switched over to black to complement the white interior. Over the years it had sat in a warehouse with a bunch of other vehicles in New York in a collection of cars and trucks. The only items not to be original I am told by the previous owner was the radio, the black paint. The car has a numbers matching motor, trans and rear I was told, the rear is a 3.23 posi and trans is a 400 turbo trans. Because the car sat for a long time a good amount of work went into it so far, and it is a great driver to take to local cruise nights and local shows. It is not a 100 point show car, the paint is old and has dings and small dents as I point out in my pictures, but I prefer these types of cars because you can enjoy it for what it is and it is not a $45000 car. A list of new items over the years are as followed, Hood insulation, battery, radiator, alternator, belts, hoses, tune up, carb rebuilt ( choke sticks on cold start ups ) front grills, stone shields, master cylinder, all new brakes, disc brakes on front, bumpers both new, engine detailed, gas tank flushed, sending unit, trans fluid and screen changed, new carpet and door sill plates. The car has the followingoptions, disc brakes, light group, buckets and console, rally wheels, again I am being told it is numbers matching drive train. No noises or smoke, runs nice, body was redone over 25+ years ago and some bondo in the car. The floors need work, theyhave rot and looks like someone putmetal over top of it, the frame has a few small spots of metel welded in also. The car comes with a New York registration to switch over to the new owners. So bid on the car to drive now or restore over time. You wont find a car like this in the price range. Good luck, serious bidders I can add a buy it now.The exhaust might be original and need to be replaced, the motor is very strong. I was told that it is the 340 hp motor, I have owned a lot of classic cars and will tell you this motor is very strong and has a ton of torque, more so then any stock car I have ever owned.. People have been asking of body condition. It has some some filler in car and floors have been fixed. This was all done 25+ years ago. Car as stated is driver quality and to make a show car would need to be redone, call will sell.. a lot of emails..
