Some men are Baptist, some are Catholic, my dad was an Oldsmobile Man! Now you to can be an Oldsmobile Man like Ralphie's dad in "TheChristmas Story". I'm offering for sale my 1936 Oldsmobile F-36 4dr. Touring Sedan. My family and myself have had the pleasure of owning this beauty for the last ten years now.The kids are now in college and she just isn't driven much any more so I've decided to let here go to a new home. If your in the market for nice car you can hop in turn the key and drive without being overly cautious about getting a chip or a few bugs in the grill this car might be for you.
Engine,Trans,Rearend- 213ci. flat 6cyl. 3-spd. man. trans.Car has always beenkept in aclimate controlled garage since I've owned. Car has never seen rain or snow since I've owned.Car starts and runs great. Does not burn oil. Has good oil pressure. Does drip a little oil after sitting for long periods of time. I've never had to add oil between oil changes. Does drip a little anti-freeze from shaft packing after sitting for long periods of time. Never been a big issue I just keep a drip pan under car and maintain fliud levels. I did have the radiator re-cored years ago.Does not leak fluids while out driving car around or parked it's just after sittingin the garage for awhile. The rear-end does not leak or make any strange noises. I have installed new rear wheel bearings in the last year. Has elec. 6v fuel pump. (comes with original mechanical pump). Trans. and clutchshifts properly.Glass: All windows roll up and down. All vent windows crank open and closed. Glass is all good. Vent glass has some separation around the edges(see photo) Elec: All ext/int lights work.GM Multi-Beam bright lightsystem works correct. All gauges work. Radio does not work. Clock works but is unplugged to save on battery. Heater and fan work good. Interior: Newer Hampton Coach interior. Very high quality and was most definitly professionally installed. Only defects are a couple softball size stainson one edge of headliner (see photo).Carpetis clean with norips or stains. Has a very rare banjo steering wheel.Paint / Body: Correct black with Vermilion Red stripe. Has great gloss and you can read a newspaper in most of it but it is very old lacquer and does have many misc. blemishes. The entire hood has checking in the clear coat (see pic). The two rear doors have a little wavy spot at the bottom underneath side ( These have been this way since I've owned the car and have never gotten worse and a magnet will stick to all of it). There is one small area below trunk that's a little wavy. There is a spot about six inches long on the edge oftheleft rear fender that has been scraped and touched up (see photo) There are of coarse misc. scrapes and chips here and there.. Hood ornament is cracked. There are no dents in the body anywhere. All of the doors, trunkand glovebox locks work. All of the floors, fenders, running boards and frameare solid underneath and only have surface rust.I'm probably over emphasizing all the defects but I just want to be honest about the condition. This car is really beautiful and shows really well. I have won a ton of trophies through the years with itand you really have to get up close to see the blemishes. Tires: Bias-ply andhave lots of tread left and are not weather cracked. I have installed new front springs and all new rebuilt shocks since I've owned. Car has all new brakes, wheel cylinders and stainless steel brake lines. Emergency brake works good. Chrome is descent but by no means perfect. The exhaust system is all new since I've owned.Car will rungood at 55 mph, anything above that and she's screaming.I do have a clearState of Illinois title in my name in hand. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Let me know if youneed a picture of something, I took a bunch but couldn't figure out how to get them all loaded on here. I welcome you or your agent to inspect the car if you give me a notice. I'm a car nut and like a lot of you I have many times driven long distances to purchase a car that was not at all how it was described.I have done my best to be honest in my description of the vehicle but there of coarse is no warranty implied at all with the vehicle. My reserve on the car is based solely on the year, make, model and condition of the vehicle. I am not like so many of these people these days who believe that because there car is old it automaticallyworth a ton of money! All I'm getting at is my reserve is set at a fair price. The winning bidder is to issue a $500.00 non-refundable Paypal deposit within 24 hours of close of auction. The winning bidder should also contact me within 24 hours to let me know there intentions on pick-up and remaining balance for vehicle. I really would prefer just old school hand shake and cash payment on pick-up butI will work with you on certified U.S. funds but it must be totally cleared before the car or title leaves my possession. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping.PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO GO THROUGH WITH THE TRANSACTION !!! Good Luck

I noticed a couple of things in my pictures. On the picture of the glove box that's not a dent on the right side but a reflection of the door handle. Also on the picture of the passenger side doors closed there's a little pile of leaves downin the corner of the overhead garage door that the reflection makes it looklike there's a rust hole in the back door.
