1972 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight. An old buddy passed down this gal to me before moving out of state. She's a 442 California car with a convertible top in excellent running condition. She floats, she glides - that's the best way to describe her handling. Truly a fun car to drive.
A few notes about her condition- the interior and top are in bad shape as you can see from the photos. The driver seat is the most worn, but both front and back upholstery should be redone. The convertible top motor and mechanics still work, but the fabric itself is torn and should be replaced. The paint is original, but the top coat is peeling off in places, primarily the hood and trunk. Some of the wheel-wells show signs of paint bubbling- what you would expect from a 45 year old car. I've had the upholstery, paint and patch work priced out at about $2500. Again, she's in excellent running condition, all original with numbers matching. Her main faults are simply cosmetic, yet for this reason she'll make a fun addition to anyone's collection.
