1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Additional Info:
i have had this vehicle for three years and it is very dependable. The mileage is low considering the age of the vehicle. I have driven this car from New Jersey to Maine (twice) and to Indiana and several trips to western Pennsylvania with little or no problem. It gets about 27 mpg on the highway and 25 in city. I have a clear title in hand. This vehicle would be easy to restore and make into a rue vintage vehicle to show. The interior shows some wear but no tears or stains. The front is a bench seat with a fold down armrest. All four tires are like new, see picture. The battery was replaced earlier this week. I have replaed the coolant tube, fuel regulator, wiper motor and windshield.
Now for the negatives. The air compressor was replaced with a bypass pulley, so no air. You would need to replace the compressor to get air. All the wiring is still attached. The gas gauge does not read correctly, when close to empty it reads between 3/4 and 1/2. I always west by the odometer, filled up around 220 to 230 to be safe. The windshield washer needsthe rubber hose replaced in order to work. The wipers need to be adjusted to work properly, need set to zero. All the electric components work except for the power antenna, it stays up.
The engine has a miss when running. Before I bought the car, someone tuned it up and cross threaded a spark plug. It is the middle one in the front. It never caused any great problems so I left it alone. The plug does not come loose, stays tight.
Email with any questions or to schedule an appointment to see the car. thanks
