This is a dream barn find!
This car had been just sitting in an attached garage for many years. The owner just went into a nursing home, so the family got me to sell the carfor a percentage.
TheCutlass has very low miles (28K), and the owner was planning on a light restoration before getting sick. I don't know much about the car's history, nor do I know Oldsmobiles. I do see that although it was stored indoors, there was evidence of mice. The gentleman had also acquired a lengthy list of parts that I am including in the auction.
There is a second set of side window glass, as well as extra seats & seatbacks & piping. I see several power steering pumps, and I found used spare engine internals (pistons, rods, oil filter housing, etc.), although the engine in the car does turn over smoothly. I have the title, but did not find the keys. In my opinion the odometer is accurate. I believe the engine is an Olds 350-2V, but I have not looked at any of the other serial numbers to verify numbers matching. I am also listing the car on Craigslist, so I may end the auction early. I don't normally sell cars on eBay,as I have enough project cars & need the garage space back.
I'm including my number here, in case you want to ask specific questions (970.708.1014). The car is located in Northern Ohio. Rear tires don't hold air, but the front and spare do. My pictures are not the best, but it is winter here and will likely remain quite dark and gloomy for months to come. If you want a specific picture of something, just let me know & I can text or email it. I also found an extra set of taillight bezels, and there is stuff in the trunk, but I have not tried opening it, so I don't know what's in there. Based on the other cars I pulled out of there, the owner always packed every available nook in the cars with parts. I did see a spare wiring harness that will be included. I'm assuming it goes with this car, since it was in it and is a GM harness (the other cars I pulled out of there were not GM). There are a whole bunch of radiators too, but they've gotten dinged up, so I'm going to throw them away (unless someone wants them before I toss them). The car is mostly in tact, but it's likely that some minor screws or fasteners are missing. The pictures will probably tell you more. I've never tried lifting the top, so I don't know its condition (it looks like it has a white top). This is a VERY nice car that just needs cleaning up and minor finishing/reassembly. I don't even think it needs paint, once it's cleaned up. This will be a perfect car to go to muscle car shows and be proud. No rust! Dash pad not cracked! The owner says it was never parked outside in the sun. So the visual condition makes sense. The owner won many awards and used to frequent car shows when he was younger.
I'm listing this in other publications, so the auction may end early. This car will not last long! For very little resto money, you will have a dynamite car when finished. Someone can probably get this thing road legal in just a weekend.
