1949 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Standard Additional Info:
This 1949 Oldsmobile Fastback is customized in the true 50's tradition. The James Dean style of the 50's
This beautiful blue 1949 Olds custom Hot Rod has been modified in many ways...
The Trunk and Hood emblems removed, Door Handles removed and open by remote control. Also there is a custom electric radio antenna, Frenched Headlights, Custom Grill with 59 Cadillac Tail lights and custom dual tailpipes incorporated in the design....The workmanship of the body work is top notch....Paint has some issues with chips but shows really nice with a bright shine.
The interior is nice with small issues. The instrument package consists of all new gauges and a speedometer/tachometer combo with the Speedometer using the GPS system. Other features of the speedometer/tachometer combo includes a compass, Mileage/Trip, Clock, and a few other features.
The engine and transmission are out of a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass. It's a 307 V8 connected to an Automatic Overdrive transmission so it gets decent gas mileage and they operate as they should. The Engine has factory electronic ignition and the car has been completely converted to a 12V system.
The car is fun to drive and goes down the road straight. A very nice Driver. You can run 70 MPH all day long without overheating. Or you can drive it in a parade at walking speed and no overheating even in The Texas Hot Summer.....
