1991 Nissan Other Diesel RHD Additional Info:
For whatever reason ebay is still not able or willing to allow Non-US VINs newer than 1981
Here is the correct VIN: VRGY60617088
Japanese cars always fascinated me, although I have been collecting European cars for many years.Over the last couple of years I have brought into the US a few interesting JDM vehicles, with the intention of enjoying, driving and perhaps adding them to my small collection. However there is only so much room in my storage unit, my garage and the driveway at home, therefore I have decided to let a few go. This 1991 Nissan Safari will be the first one.
1991 Nissan Safari Gran Road Diesel, 112912 Kilometers. The odometer shows 42452 km but it obviously had an instrument cluster change at 70460 km indicated by several stickers. This amounts to 70180 miles. As a JDM Nissan, it's RHD.
Original black and grey paint with some expected scratches and dullness on the center of the roof and a small area of the hood.
Very good chrome on the rear bumper, but some pitting on the front bumper.
There is no rust on this vehicle with the exception of a small area in the right rear wheel well visible in one of the attached pictures.
Original grey cloth interior is in very good condition without any rips or stains with clean door panels and roofliner. They previous owner built a frame in the rear and with a few panels there is a comfortable platform for sleeping, measuring 187 cm x 140 cm.
Mechanically it's in excellent shape. The 4.2 liter I-6 Diesel starts immediately and runs smoothly with the reassuring clatter of an old fashioned Diesel. It never feels under powered and cruises effortlessly at 85 mph on SoCal freeways.Transmission shifts perfectly. 4WD high and low worksas it should. Brakes and tires are perfect. Fluids are fresh.
Here is a small video showing the Safari in action:
I was driving it in the unbearable heat with up to 42 Degrees C. we had in the L.A. area lately and it does not get hot at all. Also the factory AC blows ice cold and keeps the interior comfortable.Power windows and door locks, headlight washers and wipers, rear heater work flawlessly, so do all the lights.
The clock does not work, the power antenna does not want to come out either. The built in Japanese stereo has a FM frequency of 76-90 MHZ which will give you only a couple of US radio stations. The CD player works fine, though, and the sound is actually quite good.
It was imported under the 25 year rule. I have all the importation paperwork and a free and clear Washington title.
NOTICE TO BUYERS IN CALIFORNIA:
Even though it's exempt from any EPA and DOT requirements and it's even smog-exempt in California as a pre-1997 Diesel, it CANNOT be registered in California due to their outlandishly overbearing and bureaucratic requirements. CA buyers will have to title it in a different state.
There is no warranty implied or expressed.
I will gladly help with shipping from Riverside, CA and answer any and all questions you might have.
This is a relist due to non paying bidder iva6265. Please bid only if you want to buy this vehicle.
