1987 Nissan 200SX SE Additional Info:
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the photos (by clicking "see full sized photos") and read this entire written description (by clicking "show more description"), as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very rare 1987 Nissan 200SX SE V6. I would rate the exterior of this Nissan to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a great looking vehicle. Please bare in mind that the majority of these cars are sitting in junk yards...so the fact that this one is still here, standing tall, is nothing short of impressive. This 200SX is finished in white and gray two tone over matching gray interior, which is a good color combination. The white finish shines nicely for its age and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find much worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Nissan. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors, and hatch all open and close easily. All of the trim and cladding looks to be present and shows well. I can see a few tiny rust bubbles here and there, but nothing even close to concerning. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this rare old Nissan came in. I would also rate the interior of this 200 SX SE to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The gray sport interior matches the gray exterior cladding and gives this Nissan a nice look. The door cards show their age, but are acceptable. The dash and headliner also show some age but are more than acceptable. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The deeply bolstered sport seats hold you nicely and are very comfortable. Being an SE model, this 200 SX is quite well optioned. The driver's window doesn't work but the right window and mirrors both work. This car is A/C equipped but it's too cold to confirm whether it's still working or not. I do know the heater works. While it does show some age on the dash and door cards, the interior is quite impressive when you consider the age and mileage of the car. The cargo area is spacious and clean, too. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this old 200 SX came in. Mechanically, this 200SX appears to be in good running and driving condition. This Nissan is powered by a 3.0L V6 - so it's basically a 300ZX that went on a diet. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. Her road manners are quite impressive for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. Most of the gauges work. The tachometer and oil pressure gauges sometimes don't work, though. The engine makes good power and feels smooth. The 3.0L V6 was the optional engine for this car and are actually quite rare. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the five speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. This 200SX is an absolute blast to drive and is a serious throwback to the fantastic Japanese sports cars of the 80's. If I didn't already have 3 project cars, this super rare 200SX SE would not be for sale. It would get tucked away in my warehouse and restored. I had an 87 300ZX Turbo with full exhaust, HKS intercooler upgrade, and GReddy boost controller...and I remember exactly how fun that car was. I'd probably find an old 3Z-Turbo in a junk yard and convert this. If a fat, bloated 3Z was a blast...I can only imagine how fun this would be. The more I type, the more I want to keep this for myself...ugh. We'll give it a shot. I hope this super rare S12 goes to a good home where it'll be respected and loved. This 200SX came from an older Nissan enthusiast who had owned it for the last 16 years and I hope it goes to another home like that. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
