1993 Nissan 240SX Additional Info:
Hi there my fellow 240 enthusiasts. I have what I think is a pretty nice auction for either someone looking for a project car with a solid chassis or an investor looking to break this down piece by piece and sell it off. If you are looking for a car that is in working/running condition, this is definitely not the auction for you. I will describe everything to the best of my ability, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Please read my entire description before you decide to bid or not, thanks.
I have two 240sx's, I have mine that I had when i was 16 that has sentimental value that i am fixing up and I have this one. I am the third owner and have a clean title in my name. I bought this car as a parts car from a cool dude down in Houston. He had already done the rb25det engine/tranny swap and I was looking for an rb25 with trans for my 240. He said that he was the second owner and that he bought it from a person who kept it in great condition and in the garage. when he had it himself, he also kept it in the garage. And I definitely believe that because the dashboard that was in this car had absolutely zero cracks and has that nice soft/smooth feel when you touch it. If you know texas and 240's you know there's no way a car left outside in our sun can have a pristine dashboard like that. That being said, the dashboard is one of the parts I took so unfortunately it doesn't come with this auction. I am including the cracked and brittle dashboard that was in my 240 as you can see in the picture. That's why it's blue and not brown and has a different VIN. I have also kept this car in the garage since I've had it.
The odometer says 105,000 miles and the second owner said he drove about 15,000 miles with the rb25 setup. So figure there is roughly 120,000 miles on the chassis. For a car that's 25 years old, that's pretty good. The car has never been driven by me at all. When the car was originally purchased, they got all the bells and whistles. Power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, leather seats, sunroof, rear windshield wiper, AC. The car had an rb25det engine /trans in it and i swapped it out for the ka24. There are plates welded to the crossmember so you can use the original engine mounts on the rb25det if you're looking to go that route. The place where the radiator sits has been cut out to allow for a bigger radiator and the bigger engine. The firewall around the transmission has been hammered out to allow for the rb25det. basically this car is ready for an rb25 install and you don't even need a special engine/trans mount kit. The car is a roller right now but that's about it. The pictures tell a lot. I have a clean title in my name with the car and i WILL be going through the motions with the DMV telling them I sold the car to remove my liability, so please be prepared to pay your taxes!! They'll know if you don't.
What's wrong with the car? There is some damage on the driver side front fender and below the driver side door as seen in pictures. There is no bumper or the big bracket the bumper goes around. There is a hood, I just havent put it on but it does come with a black hood. The car is a dark green so the hood isn't factory. The rest of the car outside, the doors and rear fenders look to be in good shape. The rear brake lights have some cracks. The sunroof latches are broken and look like they would let water in if left outside. I strongly recommend keeping this in the garage or under a tarp. the latch on the inside of the sunroof is broken as well. The leather is coming apart in a small spot where you sit on the driver seat and the leather is coming apart on the doors. The backseat looks to be in good condition. The engine and transmission that come with this are rebuilt. My dad said the car was running but it was running rough before it was left to sit. I recommend a complete dismantling of the engine and trans and building it back up fresh. The most important thing to remember about this car is that it was my parts car. On top of the rb25 engine and trans, I swapped the brake lights, the calipers lines and rotors, the windshield wipers, those plastic pieces below the wipers, the shifter, the driveshaft, the exhaust. I took fuses, bulbs, clips, screw, bolts, nuts, the dashboard, you name it. If my car had a broken or missing piece, I was looking here to replace it. I think that's it, if I think of something I forgot I will update the listing.
What you get? The 1993 Nissan 240sx s13 with a solid rust free chassis. All the parts and engine accessories seen in the pictures. Including GKtech rear rotor upgrade for s13, brand new in box never used. And also, megan front tension rods, brand new in box never used. The old shocks and struts from my car. Eibach sportline springs with KYB 8 way front and 6 way rear adjustable shocks that are currently installed. The OEM front and rear sway bars. Eibach front and rear sway bars, already installed. Moog control arms and tie rod ends, already installed. 18 inch wheels hyper x dpsec(missing one cover). 15 inch ARE wheels installed. both sets need new tires. All the OEM suspension components rear and front, check pictures. Extra OEM gas tank, needs a thorough cleaning but is still structurally sound. I haven't looked inside the tank thats installed but it doesn't smell like old gas so it should be good. same thing with the fuel delivery tube and the assembly fuel delivery system, they are rusty and need a thorough cleaning but should still be good. OEM brake calipers and rotors. OEM exhaust and driveshaft. ka24 engine with corresponding transmission. OEM hubcaps and air intake parts, check pictures. Bazooka subwoofer with Boss amp.
Shipping and payments, this car is NOT operable. it HAS to be towed or taken on a trailer. You MUST be able to pay and pick up within 3 days of auction ending. Please Please Please Please PLEASE don't bid if you can't pay. Again, please do me this huge favor and don't bid if you can't pay, it will save the both of us a lot of time and hassle. You can pay either cash, cashiers check, or paypal. I prefer paypal as soon as the auctions over but it's up to you. Obviously this is local pickup only so if you want to stop by and check everything out in person, send me a message and we'll set up a time for you to come by. I think I got everything listed but I probably forgot something, if I remember certain info or more parts, I'll update the listing. I put the price at what I would pay if I were buying and feel like I got a good deal, hopefully you feel the same. If you have any questions, send me a message. Like I said earlier, I think this is a terrific auction for either someone starting their 240 project from the ground up, or for an investor with the time and patience to sell everything off piece by piece. Good luckski!!!
Update- The car report says there have been 5 owners including myself. I could be wrong but I think this is because the first owners transferred the title to their family member and same thing with the next owners. Technically it was different owners but it stayed in the family I believe.
