1991 Nissan Pulsar GTiR Additional Info:
For sale, Nissan's very own homoligation special, in order to participate in World Rally Championship, Group A racing.Legally imported, clean Florida title in my name. Vin number RNN14-020151.
This particular GTiR left Japan in 1998, and spent 18 years in the UK. The car now resides in the USA. Before anyone asks, the umbrella is still with the car and included!
This little hatch is a blast to drive. There are no pop-outs or grinds from the transmission, the car tracks straight, and brake pedal feel is firm. Minimal squeaks and rattles from the interior, as the turbo-back exhaust is the perfect happy medium between not too quiet, and not too loud. The turbo has no trouble spooling, and the engine pulls to redline great, with no misfires or hiccups. The individual throttle bodies (specific to GTiRs only) do add a subtle sound difference compared to other SR20DET engines.
The interior is clean, and tidy with a few common imperfections of25+ year old Nissans. Overall, the dashboard itself is in good shape. The front Recaro seats do add nice support and comfort. Driver's seat, outer bolster is very sun faded. Not ripped, just very faded. A/C blows nice and cold, as many of the components have just been replaced.
Exterior paintwork shines beautiful with the rare TJ1 color. There are some imperfections in the exterior I would like to note. There is a dime sized dent on the left front fender, and some paint bubbling in the rear quarters. Please see the photos below. Exterior moldings are in good shape considering age. The OZ wheels look great overall, but there is some minor curb rash here and there.
What does this Pulsar need? The car will need the rear hatch struts. Replacements may be easier to find in Australia or the UK. I believe there are Honda hatch rear struts that can be retro-fitted. The car would also greatly benefit from a proper set of comfortable coilovers. The car is currently on Tein coilovers. The ride quality is ok, but could be improved. Other than that, this Pulsar GTiR is turn key and ready for a great home. Receipts can be provided for the recent service work, which can be seen below.
Gauge cluster shows 51,311 miles with a UK GTiR gauge cluster (mileage not verified)
