1993 Nissan 240SX Base Additional Info:
This was previously a turbocharged race car but I learned a serious lesson. It's virtually impossible to control the under hood temps with a turbo car WHEN ROAD RACING. PERIOD. The exhaust manifold temps were emitting close to 1600 degrees with the resultant melting of important goodies like drain hoses, power steering hoses, distributor cap etc. And, that was with only 7 lbs of boost. So, out came the engine and turbo and in went a KA24DE that a local machinist had worked. He did both the head and short block; he polished the crank, installed standard sized racing bearings in both mains and rods and with ARP head studs, all new oil pump, chains, gears and tensioners and water pump. She's virtually a factory spec new motor. It also has new rings with new cast dished pistons so for any tear downs required by tech following a successful race, it is all stock. It's an S-13 through and through. Now for the rest of the car. It's got aftermarket hubs to adapt to Z-31 rotors with calipers and resultant race brake pads with stainless steel brake lines; front and rear. She stops on a dime. Spare front rotors and pads come with the car. With the turbo and intercooler removed, tech will erase the 125 points assessed so as to give you 130 points to mod the car per ChampCar tech rules. Look closely at the pictures. Ask your questions; suffice to say, every moving part on this car has been replaced, upgraded, re-torqued or improved. Two complete sets of tires and wheels come with it. 18" wheels with Falken Azenis tires are on it and a complete set of 17" tires and wheels, also Falken Azenis rubber come as spare. It does come with a spare tranny and rear diff, along with fuel jugs, drip pans and fire bottles for the pit plus a cart to haul it to your pit box. If you plan on a night race, I will include the door lights to illuminate your race numbers. My permanent number of 541 is reserved but those (or your numbers) will need to be ordered from the supplier. I am selling due to medical reasons; no more racing for me.
