1987 Nissan 300ZX Additional Info:
1987 Nissan/Datsun 300zx 5 speed 3.0L NA.
This car is very clean and turns heads just about everywhere it goes, these are coming harder and harder to come by these days, especially in the Mid West. Especially ones as decent as this! For being a 1987 it really was ahead of it's time, lot's of technology in this car, not to mention the bullet proof VG30E that you simply can't beat, being one of the most reliable engines Nissan ever made. Mechanically this car is all stock and un-touched, no modifications to the engine whatsoever. It's got a clean slate. If you do your research you'll find that these engines came with stock cold air intakes and beefed up internals that you simply can't beat, these engines will take a fair amount of abuse and miles before picking up a problem.
This car is an absolute joy to drive, just took it on a 6 hour trip over the weekend without a SINGLE problem. Pulls in every gear and has plenty of power for being a Non Turbo model. Especially with it being as light as it is. All original interior, unscathed and clean. Frame is very solid. However, there is some rust in the quarter panels, which is very common for these models. Had intensions of replacing them but have too many vehicles and need to part with a few. The body has 184000 on it but the motor was replaced with a low mile 3.0L but i am unaware of the miles, but it's not the original to the car. T-tops do NOT leak! Easy to take off and awesome in the summer. Mechanically this car is perfect, doesn't smoke, leak anything or make any noises, starts every time. It's my daily driver, gets 19-23 mpg. Good heat and AC, needs nothing as far as being a daily, after that it's all personal preference for cosmetics. Yes it is indeed a manual and quite fun to drive, custom machined shifter knob that you won't find online. There are no problems with it, it's been well maintained by myself and the previous owner. Paint is clean and shines up nicely, passenger side fender has some clear coat wearing off but isn't noticeable unless your up close on it. I've got the original wheels with new tires and 2 winter tires that haven't been used mounted on 17 inch wheels. Now It's got a few goodies and new parts I'll list here.
Brand new Eibach progressive lowering kit with Tokico adjustable ride shocks. slightly "stanced" in the rear.
MB Battle 17 inch wheels 205s in front and 235s stretched on back, (Front 90% tread, rear 30% tread)
Brand new brake calipers, pads, and rotors all the way around with new E-Brake lines for all your essential drift needs and close traffic calls.
Full Catback Magnaflow exhaust, it has a good hum and a little more acceleration, not a fart cannon that'll wake the neighbors as you go by.
New Kenwood radio with sub control and new speakers all the way around, (Subs NOT included but all the wiring will remain in the car if you want a set of your own)
New snow tires on extra 17 inch wheels along with 90% tread on stock wheels.
Upgraded electric fuel pump (Throttle response is much better than it was stock)
New AC compressor and lines.
Low mile engine.
Fresh oil change.
