1989 Nissan Pao Additional Info:

Incredibly rare 1989 Nissan Pao for sale, in mint original condition!
One of four vintage-inspired cars designed and built at the "Pike Factory" in Japan by Nissan in 1989. Certain design elements such as the hatch and split rear windows were inspired by design features on older french and British cars.
51,000 were built between 1989 and 1991. It's finally legal in the US now that it's over 25 years old. Right hand drive!
Mechanically, this car is identical to a Nissan Micra, so parts are readily available.
They were never sold in the US, but were finally able to be imported as historic vehicles a year or two ago. This one has a fabulous history, having traveled and road-tripped all over the world. It started life in Japan, before being sold to someone in England. It then road tripped throughout Europe. This little guy has climbed the Alps! It eventually made its way to France, where the previous owner found it. It was shipped over last year. All original documentation and receipts are included. This car has appeared in a french auto magazine (included), and recently a US commercial!

It can get

50 to70 mpg depending on how hard its little 1.0-liter is asked to work.

At only about 5 feet wide, it is surprisingly spacious (I'm 6'3") and has an extremely tight turning radius of just 14 feet. This car has been well-loved through its life, and always garaged. It recently received a full tune-up including new suspension and any other minor service things that needed to be addressed (off the top of my head, the speakers were updated, oil pressure switch replaced, windsheld washer repaired, sunroof lubricated, control arm replaced, timing belt kit done, CV joint done, all struts and springs). No rust, and the worst defects are a tiny tear in the corner of the headliners, and some very minor patina from age. (which I actually love). Always starts and runs great- I would trust it anywhere.
