1957 Nash Metropolitan Convertible Additional Info:
This is our "Movie Star" 1957 Nash Metropolitan Convertible. She was recently used in the filming of the upcoming Hollywood film Hidden Figures starring Kevin Costner and Kirsten Dunst. This car drives like a dream. The original 1500cc Austin engine and 3 speed manual transmission were professionally upgraded to a much more reliable and powerful 1976 Datsun 1800cc B210 engine with a 3 speed Automatic Transmission. Another wonderful thing about the upgraded running gear is that the car was also upgraded to a 12 volt system and has a new alternator in lieu of a generator. The Red and White Paint and Interior are in fantastic condition with only very small flaws. The top is operable and does not leak, but this car has only been used in nice weather.
The following work has been recently been done to the car:- New Carburetor- New Brake Master Cylinder- New Fuel Pump- Complete Professional Paint and Chrome Detail and Wax- New CD Player w/ iPhone/iPod input and Speakers
With the newer engine and drivetrain this car is much more enjoyable to own and cruise around in. I have owned a lot of exotic cars, but this little Metro gets more attention than anything I have ever driven. We recently entered this car in the Atlanta Concours d'Elegance and it was admired by all who saw it. We have had a wonderful time showing and going out for ice cream in this car and now our "Movie Star" needs a new home to make room for our next project. Our "Reserve" on the car is very reasonable. Please email me with any questions you may have about the car. I have made a video showing the condition of the car, please email me if you would like the YouTube link. Happy Bidding!
