1960 Nash Convertible COMPLETELY RESTORED! Additional Info:

We are offering a gorgeous 1960 Nash Metropolitan Convertible that just received a complete nut and bolt restoration at the world famous Metropolitan Pit Stop in California, where we have specialized in the restoration of Metropolitans since 1975. It is one of the best examples you will see of the most desirable "Series IV" convertibles.
This car came to us as a rock solid, straight and rust-free California car. It was completely stripped down and every component, nut and bolt was removed to prepare the car for paint. Minimal body work was needed, and the car was painted in its original Autumn Yellow over Frost White using the high quality single stage paint, as original, then wet sanded and buffed to a beautiful shine. All the chrome was stripped and triple plated, and all the stainless was straightened and polished. All other components of the car were completely disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt or refurbished using new parts where available. Everything was painted or powder coated before reassembly. The engine and transmission were professionally rebuilt to factory specifications. The steering, suspension and brakes were all completely rebuilt. New fuel and brake lines were installed, and the whole car was re-wired with a new lacquer coated braid-over-strand harness as original. The interior was finished in a perfect reproduction of the original upholstery fabric and heat-seamed vinyl. Brand new Firestone wide whitewall bias-ply tires were installed. Every effort was made to keep the car as original as possible, with a few slight changes and upgrades. Polyurethane suspension bushings were used for better handling and longevity. Black carpet was installed in the interior as an more comfortable and luxurious option over the original rubber floor mats. We chose a convertible top, boot, and spare tire cover in white instead of the original black as a more attractive option. Everything on this car looks and works as well or better than when it rolled off the production line. You will not find a nicer one for sale!
This Metropolitan would make a great addition to anyone's collection, or a great way to start one. They get attention everywhere they go and are always a hit at cruise nights and car shows. You will get more looks, questions and stories from people than the hot rods or muscle cars next to you that cost two to three times as much! Since completion of the restoration, the car has been driven approximately 50 miles to break in the engine and make any necessary adjustments. The mileage may increase slightly as the car may be used for cruise nights, car shows, or test drives.
The car is advertised locally and we reserve the right to end the auctionearly. While have made every attempt to accurately describe the car, we invite interested buyers to come see the car in person before bidding. More detailed pictures or close-ups of particular areas can be provided upon request. This car is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. We will do our best to assist the buyer with shipping, at the buyer's arrangement and expense. $500 deposit is due withing 24 hours of the end of the auction, with the remainder due within seven days.
