1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT Additional Info:
I purchased this vehicle on 10/07/1993 from Rice Mitsubishi in Knoxville TN. It had 4700 miles on it. I have taken very good care of it and the same mechanic at Rice Mitsubishi was the only one I allowed to service it until they went out of business around 2009. I have 99% of the mechanical records for it. I replaced the air conditioner compressor and another part 06/2011. He said the only thing left to replace was the lines and as old as it is they will probably leak and to charge it up in the spring if needed. I spent $2563 for a remanufactured transmission from Mitsubishi in 2002. I spent $2519 in March 2002 and $4303 in 2007 along with other smaller projects. If there was any problems I fixed them. I can read the itemized bills to you but it's too much to type. I stopped driving this vehicle around November 2011 when I purchased a new truck. The clear coat is peeling off so it needs a paint job. There's some damage around the front drivers side wheel. (see pictures) I have the parts to replace. (see pictures) There are a few minor things wrong like rust on the brakes from not driving it enough. The switch on drivers side works the passenger window fine but needs the "magic touch" to find that sweet spot to work the driver window. It's just a bad connection. The motor is fine. The sun roof kept popping out of place and I would have to roll down the window and push it back in place and that got old so I had it dismantled and taped it in place but the motor was still working when this happened. It down shifts hard when stopping so I had it checked out thinking it was the transmission but they said it was electrical. I was told by a few people it's probably the sylinoid in the transmission pan. I don't know. I've stopped putting any more money in it. I put it in neutral before stopping and put it back in drive after stopping and that works fine for me.I would drive this vehicle today anywhere I wanted to go.The car is25 years old and needs some TCL again. Someone who can do a little work themselves. It's always been a very dependable vehicle. I have absolutely loved owning it and driving it and I will probably cry like a baby when it sells. If I won the lottery today I wouldn't even sell it I would completely restore it and keep it. Even while needing a paint job I still get compliments on it. Please ask any questions before bidding. Winning bidder must pay within 36 hours. There is no warranty. Vehicle is sold as is. Can be test driven. Located in Crossville, TN. Please bring cash. No checks. No money orders.
