1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Additional Info:
My reluctant daily driver. I had originally planned it to be a street monster but it got pushed into daily service 4 years ago and I've not been able to spare her to do the engine-out services. Since then I've put over 60K miles on her. Its a great car. Runs, shifts, drives, boosts and gets up and goes quick. Has several parts of the ground work for tuning laid and now it's up to the next owner to decide which way to go from here...light street upgrade on factory internals (all you'd need is your fuel and turbo's) and you're safe up to about 450 hp. Or pull the engine & trans and build your dream monster. Comes with lots of extra stuff too, like a complete set of factory manuals, and 3sx intake bubble pressure tester, an extra A/C compressor, an extra large oil pan and probably more I've forgotton out in the garage, but I'll load her up for you. Over the years I have refreshed, replaced, or upgraded nearly every system on the car. All the interior plastics have been replaced. Nice faux leather seat covers come with the car. Seats themselves aren't in terrible shape but the leather was getting too fragile and ripping just from the pressure of sitting so i"ve covered them with the ones you see here. I really enjoy driving this car, I'm just super occupied with a business i've started and I don't have the time to spend in the garage turning wrenches anymore. And anyone planning to own a VR4 or Stealth TT needs to be able to diagnose and fix basic items themselves as fewer and fewer shops have the knowledge to work on these cars. At this time I need a truck so my car has got to go.

Let me take a moment to highlight the Atoto head unit. This isn't some junk $100 andriod head unit. It was like $400 plus another $80 for the special camera that makes the Birdseye view work. Its Octa core processor and 8GB of ram(64GB Storage) make it snappy and easy to use. The touchscreen is a high end glass OLED screen just like a high quality phone. It has so many tuning features, separate eq's for front, rear, and sub channels, 3 separate crossovers, and Time correction for seating position focus. As a full android tablet, the entire Google store worth of apps are available to you. YouTube, Netflix, etc... I use LiveOne or Pandora which I stream over a dedicated 4GLTE data link. I pay $20 / month to T-Moble for unlimited Data. This makes the unit so much more than the average radio and is the same price as most new cars data plans. Now you can open Waze, Pandora, or Google maps directly from the unit without piggybacking off your phone. Audio apps and GPS can work simultaneously full-screen or on split screen. Also I get a discount from my insurance for having a GPS tracking device in the car as the head unit can be geolocated anywhere in the world using 'Find My Android'. The head unit has its own internal battery backup. The rear backup cam has been integrated into the rear wing brake light. I ran all the camera wiring through the factory looms so the hatch seals remain intact. I even use the head unit to open my smart garage door using the Genie Aladin App. Also you can use voice commands with the "Hey Google" Ai functionality. I don't use that much as my phone is also a Google pixel and I use it there instead.
I know some people tend to discount or downplay the sound system in a car as unimportant when they are considering buying it, but that would be a terrible mistake in this case. As a former professional in the car audio field and expert tuner, I can confidently say this is one of the best sounding stereos I've ever listened to, in a car or out. I tweeked and tuned this baby to really use every speaker to it's maximum potential. The sub system hits incredibly deep and was chosen specifically for the maximum SPL per pound. The 3S platform definately doesn't need more weight added and this entire sub and amp system weighs less than 30lbs. A typical 2x12" setup would weigh 4 times as much or even more depending on the box size and woofer type.I can't tell you how many evenings that car and its soundsystem formed my decompression chamber after a long day at work. The vocals are clear, the bass is deep, the surround sound effects are pronounced with the 2.5" Memphis Audio Dash Speakers creating a superb front soundstage. This system will be missed.
Stuff to note (known issues)
1. She has a little vacuum leak which sometimes upsets the fuel/air and makes her run a little rich and sometimes buck. It isn't a big deal once you get used to her throttle and boost curve and I was just waiting on the engine rebuild to replace all the seals which i assumed would cure it.
2. Seeps a little oil like any 33 year old car. Again, minor seeping. you'll see occasional drops on the floor but the Oil still shows full on the dipstick from Oil change to oil change.
3. Front Window sprayer inoperable. Last owner deleted the entire system. I have since replaced it... new bottle, and pump, but the power doesn't reach the pump so I gotta assume they cut the wiring somewhere and I haven't had the time to track it down. Rear one works.
4. Paint is sun faded in several places. At some time in its past (before me) it was repainted on the roof and it was an Earl Scheib type job. Little orange peeley.
5. Rims are pretty beat up. Several have dents and curb rashes. Tires are good, still around 60% tread.
6. Clockspring in the steering wheel is shorting out causing the horn to sometimes not work and causing intermittent communication with the airbag, triggering the SRS light in the dash.
7. The rich condition can sometimes trigger an intermittent check engine light.
p.s. the Anime theme wrap you see on the front bumper and underside of the rear wing is just vinyl wrap and can be peeled off if that's not your style. ;)
