I have owned this truck twice in the past 16 years (bought it, used it for 10+ years, sold it to a friend, rebuilt the engine for him, bought it back a couple years ago). The truck was sitting for almost a year after COVID, and not used much before I bought it back. The original 4D55 2.3L engine was swapped for a rebuilt 4D56 2.5L engine less than 20,000 miles ago (view photos). The rust has not gotten any worse from when I bought the truck about 16 years ago (dry desert weather).
