This 1991 Galant VR4 AWD AWS Limited edition is #999 out of 2000. Car came from California in 2011 has never seen a winter. Overall the car is in very nice shape and could be restored to showroomcondition. This Turbo 5-Speed features "Viscous Real-time Four-Wheel drive" and "Speed-Sensitive Four-Wheel Steering".
Everything works with the exception of the power antenna which I just broke last week going through an automatic car wash. Still blows ice cold A/C. Cruise control works! Factory alarm still works! It comes with the original owners manual, keys and limit edition key tag.
This non-smoker car and is accident and rust free, I included an underside picture to show it is not at all rusty.It needs a good buff job and a few paint chips filled to look perfect. The rear bumper also has some weird hard spots on it, which should be able to be buffed out. The interior is nice with virtually no cracks, rips or tears. The passenger side fender and hood have been repainted due to stone chips in the hood and very small dent in fender. Other than that it is all original. The steering wheel has chips out of it like all of them do. The windshield has a chip right in the middle of the drivers viewing area, I did not replace because it is the orginal windshield and new buyer can make that decision.
Engine has 20,600 miles, unknown on the car itself, and exempt from the year. Fully built with Weisco pistons and eagle rods. Metal Mitsubishi head gasket and ARP head studs and main studs. I included a price sheet of the parts that have been installed. Evo big 16g turbo. Runs great and makes 300 HP safely to all 4 wheels at 19PSI and 93 pump gas. It was professionally tuned at Beyond Redline Performance in Green Bay Wisconsin, using full version of DSM link V3. You could turn the boost up to have more horsepower but It’s reliable and fun at this level. The transmission was also rebuilt by shep racing to a stage 3 specs (see receipt in picture) and has a new act street clutch and lighten flywheel. All the turbo and piping was done at the same time and those parts all have 8,000 miles on them. Also installed H&R lowering springs and new GYB shocks 6,000 miles on those.
An absolute ton of labor hours where spent on making the intercooler piping fit through and around factory holes and factory fog light. They are made of aluminum mandrel and powder coated SS wrinkle black along with the valve cover and intake tube. Also made sure NOT to remove crash bar, so it would be safe and also be able to be put back together to original OEM if wanted to be.
There are probably only a handful of these cars left in this condition. Recently a completely stock one sold on eBay for $14,500. You get a whole lot more parts and fun with this one. As you can see a lot of money has been spent on quality parts and countless hours. To do a quality build of this caliber through a reputable shop, you would spend $20,000-30,000 by the time it is completed, on top of already owning the car.
