1980 Mini Classic Mini Additional Info:
Hi there!
You are looking at a 1988 Classic Mini Cooper from Austin Morris. I imported this car from the UK about 5 years ago. I went trough all the headaches of importing a car and it has a clear/clean title.
I insured this car with Hagerty and it costed me around $250 a year in the state of FL.
I pretty much replaced everything on the car. New tires, painted the rims on white, new caps, new valve caps, new dashboard, new speedometer cluster, new radio, new John Cooper steering wheel, new clutch, new suspensions, electric gas pump, electronic ignition, john Cooper stickers/decals, new headlights, new grill, new chrome bumpers, new fog lights, new signals, new rear lights, new battery, new electric harness, new brakes, new floor mat, new white interior door panels, knobs and window and door handles in walnut wood... the list goes really on and on.
Everything in the car works. All electric components work! Car starts on first try and runs great! Really fun to drive. Yes, it can go on the highway and I can safely ride at a 65 miles per hour.
Seats are from the older model from the early seventies. The classic Mini seats.
I am looking for another car and get into another project (I don't know why I call it a project because my projects always consist on taking the car to the shop to update something). It is time for this Mini to find another home.
If you are in Florida, I can arrange free shipping for buyers in a 99 miles radius distance from my home in Jupiter, FL.
Since the car is older than 30 years old,
it qualifies for registration fees waived in the state of FL . It also qualifies for the antique license plate.
Auction Rules:
- $500 deposit required within 24 hours after winning the auction. Deposit is NOT refundable.
- Buyer responsible for shipping and shipping costs.
- Car will only ship and title will only be given after funds have been cleared.
- Payment expected to be received within 7 calendar days after winning the auction.
FAQQ: What is the size engine?A: 998ccQ: Does it have AC?A: No, it does not. You can install and after market AC for around $4,500
Please note this is a 1988 Mini and NOT a 1980. eBay does not take as valid the VIN number and I had to listed as 1980. The car is a 1988!
As usual, car is sold as is.
