1967 Mini Classic Mini Mark 1 English White - Cooper S Look Alike Additional Info:
1967 Classic Austin Mini Model: Mark 1 Colour: English White I bought this Classic Mini from a young mechanic in London, UK in 2008. He fully restored the car to keep its originality in terms of parts, panels, trim, electrical equipment. He added an additional gas tank on the driver's side to make the car looks like the Classic Cooper S and also added a rear rally spot lamp on the truck door. After I bought it, I replaced the rim and tireswith a set of Classic Cooper S white steel rims and wider tires to resemble the Cooper S look. For safety reason, I also replaced the front drum brakeswith a set of 8" disc brakes and also put on a Stage One engine head, performance exhaustand 4SU with K&N air-filter to enhance the power and performance of this Mini. After I imported this Mini to Canada in 2010, I also replaced the seat covers with Downton Classic Seat Covers in red and golden trim in the middle which looks very nice and matches the characteristics of a Classic Mini Cooper S. I replaced the steering wheel with a wooden one. But I still have the original which will come with the car.The car runs very smooth with the remote gear shifter and comfortably reaching 70 MPH on the highway.I only drive the car in the summer, mostly going to Mini Meets and never drive under rain or snow. I change engine oil every season. Last year, I have the generator rebuilt as electric charge is too low. The exterior paint is very nice and shinny. There are 2 dints on the driver's side door caused by my carelessness in backing into it with my another Mini. There are a few small bubbles but not quite noticeable.I won best show car reward twice at the Brits on the Lake in 2014 and 2016, an annual event for British Classic Cars.Due to expansion of my classic cars collection, I have to make hard choice to make room for storage. It is a reluctant sale, but I hope this Mini will find another home and continue to be well taken care of.Please feel free to contact me to arrange inspection or test drive. The winning bidder will be responsible to pick up the car at his own expense and I recommend a flat bed tow although it perfectly fine to be driven away.A deposit of $500 is required within 48 hours of closing of auction and the balance can be paid by cash or wire transfer.Enjoy the bid and win this Classic Mini and you won't be disappointed.
