This MGA had been stored in an enclosed garage for over 30 years until I recently purchased it. I was told the engine had been rebuilt and has never been run since the rebuild. The owner started to paint the body but ran out of steam and let the car sit all this time. Parts were taken off and body sanded that's why it is in primer.
Mechanics: Engine turns over fine. I have not tried to start it. Some parts may or may not be missing, Removed the valve cover and top end looked new.
Engine number is 16GA/719
Body: Some surface rust on frame but undercarriage is very solid. Battery holders are in place and are very solid. Body appears to have no significant rust.
Top frame is in good shape but needs new canvas..
Chrome: Bumpers are very solid and look good. Grille came from another car and has surface rust. Headlight rings are missing. No hubcaps.
Rubber: Need windshield gasket. Tires are no good.
This is a very solid car -mostly there but missing a few parts. Would make a great restoration project.
Sold as is- what you see is what you get.
