This is a very unique and unmolested 1969 chrome bumper MGB in extremely original condition. The car has been repainted in its' original color of red with a very high quality finish & detailed job. The top has been replaced and upgraded to a canvas type vs plastic. The seats were completely rebuilt about 10years ago with new stuffing, foam and leather covers and are in excellent condition. The rear leaf springswere replaced and the original ones will come with the car. Thebrake lines were replaced two years ago. Tires and brakes are like new. The 6 volt battery system was replaced with a single 12 volt battery however, the original helmet style terminals are still in use. The wiring was completely redone when the car was painted. The carpet was replaced and several parts were rechromed as necessary. The trim, fit and finish on the car is outstanding. There has never been any rust on the car whatsoever. Floor pans, battery boxes and rocker panels are in perfect condition. The engine has beenserviced recently and shows excellent compression in all four cylinders. Clutch and throwout bearing are in good condition. Completerecent tune-up and oil change. Othermiscellaneous items include some new weatherstripping, chrome spare, original tool kit and jack. Owners manual, tin plate ID and shop manual are also in good condition. Car runs and drives very solid, smooth, straight and without surprise. This is an excellent example of the marque in about as original condition as one can be found in this sort of operation. The fender mirrors are period correct and came on the car when purchased from British Motors in San Francisco. Theluggage rack was also installed at the dealership when purchased new. There are original pictures of the car when it was bought new confirming its' options. Several "changes" to originality were theinstallation of a radio/tape deck and speakers were put in the door panels. Jensen audio was popular at the time and is reflected in the car. The seats are now headrest models. Everything works on the car and a tonneau cover and car cover are also included with purchase.
