For auction is a 1971 MG MGB. I bought this car is disrepair in 2024 and have since made it reliable. For the last month I have driven this nearly daily while the weather was nice. Since owning, I have done extensive repairs including new kingpin and swivel axles, new motor and gearbox, repaired all electrical issues to normal or improved function and replaced most of the breaking system. Below is a list of thing that I've done in 2025. Since the work has been complete I have put around 500 miles on it. One trip was 4 hours at around 120 miles.

I have know this car for about 20 years. I worked on it for many years before the previous owner passed away and I purchased the car from his son. The paint job is about 20 years old. I first meet the previous owner when I was hired to put the car back together for him. I know the hood was replaced with an early aluminum variant. The floors and rockers were also replaced. The body is quite sound with no exterior or undercarriage rust. Slight surface rust may be found under that car, but nothing that causes me concern. There are a few scratches and dings but no major concerns. There is slight paint damage behind the rear licensees plate/trunk latch area where it looks like something was backed into or closed between the trunk.
The tires are aged. While I have been driving on them, my commute does not take me on the interstate or long distances. While I can easily throw new tires on, they come with a cost and some buyers may want specific rubber so I've hesitated to purchase. If the buy now feature is used I will have the tires replaced if the buyer request to have done.
While this is no show car, it will make a great "driver". I've taken special care to keep or replace everything as original to the year as possible and make this car as turn key as I can. I have owned over 100 MGs and making additional room for my projects this winter. While I enjoy this car, I am out of storage space for the winter. Feel free to reach out to view or test drive the car.
