Repair, prep and paint one 1972 MG Convertible

Estimated minimum prices and times due to some items may take some time and care to

remove and reinstall or replace.

Remove all body trim and lenses 6hrs

Repair hood 2hrs

Repair/ weld passenger door 2hrs

Remove right fender bottom and replace, part price listed below 6hrs

Remove right outer rocker and replace, part price listed below 8hrs

Repair 4” rust hole left fender lower, no part needed 3hrs

Repair all lower small rust bubbles, exterior, grind and weld 2hrs

Repair dings throughout main body, prep for primer 2hrs

Sand all upper panels to e-coat, remove 95% of upper factory paint 8hrs

Mask and prime entire car 6hrs

Block sand primer all grits for paint 12hrs

Prep for paint and paint 6hrs

Color sand and buff 10hrs

Reassemble 16hrs

*Due to the intensity of this repair and its processes, I will require half up front to allow for

material purchases and cover initial labor. And I will get a swatch sheet so you can pick the

exact shade you desire.

Ala Carte:

Brakes, below is general parts listed and typical replacement items, once apart, other items may

be required. At this time, unknown if the master cylinder needs rebuilt or if any brake lines

should be replaced. Before any brake parts are purchased, I will remove wheels and inspect to

determine intensity of actual repair.

Front pads $54

Wheel cylinder rebuild kit $10

Dash, remove all gauges, replace all bulbs

5 bulbs @ $2 a bulb $10

Hired a guy to diagnose ignition issues with the distributor

and replaced the points. I was charged $150. $150
