Body off frame professional restoration in the mid 80s. Well cared for and maintained since. Comes with documentation. EXTERIOR: Professional body restoration by Ken's Classics in Wisconsin. All wood was replaced in the body tub. The metal was restored, there's no rust. Classic British Racing Green. Overall smooth and glossy with minor imperfections. Chrome overall is shiny and straight. I like the tiny MG logos on the hood releases and pop-up gas cap. The chrome windshield folds down. The body weltings, rubber running board strips are excellent. Radial tires were replaced in 2017. Black convertible top is in excellent shape. It has a full tonneau cover. INTERIOR: Amco interior kit. Genuine leather seats, correct door panels. Correct carpet with bound edges. Correct shifter and e-brake handle. Genuine wood dash with original gauges and switches. Leather wrapped original wheel. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor was completely rebuilt and balanced by Foreign Power Specialists. The crank was rebuilt, block was bored. Pistons, cam, lifters, oil pump, rocker shaft were replaced. The heads were machined, valve guides replaced. The water pump and starter were replaced, generator was rebuilt. Distributor, rotor, wires and fan belt were replaced. Dual carbs It is dressed up with an aluminum valve cover. Everything looks tidy and proper. The original brass ID tags are still attached. UNDERSIDE: King pins, tie rods, and bushings throughout were replaced. The brakes, hoses, brake lines and wheel cylinders were replaced. Rack & pinion steering had a seal kit put in. Correct exhaust looks good and makes that perfect British sports car sound. Electric fuel pump was installed. Looking up at the motor and trans, they are clean. Gear oil was changed in the 4-speed trans. Clutch was replaced. Overall clean looking, painted nicely. Very nice example of an MG. These really are fun cars. I love the sound, shifting the gears in these sports cars. Top needs to be down of course to get the full enjoyment. Even if it's cool out, actually that's the best! I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership. 815-323-6536 9-5 central Answered ASAP Leather upholstery Tachometer Dual carbs Rack & pinion Tonneau cover Rear spare tire
