This is a 1932 MG J2 roadster. It needs restoration or can be used as a parts car. It has been stored in my garages for over 50 years. In 1968 a gentleman that my father knew (whose name I cannot remember), purchased this car from the Kenning Motor Group in Yorkshire, England sight unseen and had it shipped to Long Beach, CA. Before he could pick it up from the docks an unknown teenager broke into the lot, hot-wired the car, and took it for a joyride around the lot, running it into a light pole and wrecking it. My father's friend was so angry about this and also he was disappointed that the condition of the car was not as depicted in the photographs he had been sent. It was a running car in original condition. The cosmetic condition was disappointing to him. He therefore sold the car to my father, who gave it to me after it had sat out for a period of time. Since then it has always been garaged. I have never been able to restore the car and so I am now putting it up for sale. The pictures will show all of the parts that I have for the car, including the wrecked parts. The engine is complete, as is the transmission, however, there are no air cleaners on the carburetor and I don't have them. The windshield frame is present minus the glass. All of the horsehair stuffing has disintegrated but the springs and seat frames are there. The convertible top is not usable, but I have it. The top bows are present. It comes with a spare wire wheel. Basically, what you see in the pictures is all I have for the car. Because the car was wrecked before the owner could take possession, it has never been registered in the United States. The only paperwork I have is a letter from the Kenning Motor Group certifying that the car was disinfected before it was shipped. A photo of that document is in the photo array. You are welcome to come see the car before bidding. Message me. The car is located in Minden, NV.
