1971 MG Midget Wire Wheel Additional Info:
This Midget was purchased as a father/son project, but my son is off to collage. A work promotion has added nights out of town to my schedule, so I have no time to work on the car and she needs a good home. There is absolutely no rust on this car. Everything needed to complete the build is here except for a front bumper and the vinyl top. Framework for the top is there. The engine and tranny came from a different car. I was told the engine was rebuilt but not 100% sure. It does spin easily by hand, so we decided to take a chance and use it as is. We painted the engine, grill, wheels, engine compartment and trunk. And we undercoated the bottom. We installed many new items on the car to include: thermostat, brake master cylinder, spark plugs, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, clutch slave cylinder, fan belt, valve cover gasket, and oil filter. Engine and tranny are installed. New items awaiting installation include: clutch master cylinder, clutch fluid line, top cover bra, exhaust manifold gasket, fuze box, steering stabilizer bar, distributor, plug wires and radiator. I also have a new starter, but decided to try the old one first, so it is not installed but is included. All remaining items to complete the car are included. The rear lights are installed and the wiring harness is included. The interior panels are all there and are of a tan color. I have many extra parts that include: Hella head light set, carb set up, sterring wheel, hosed, grills, dashboards, extra set of doors, rear axles with housing. Over 20 additional parts included. Close to $5000.00 in this package with the hours we've already invested. The car has a few chips and scratches in the paint as depicted, so we were going to have it painted. (your call). This is a inexpensive project for anyone wanting to have a fun car when it's done. I have a low reserve on the car. The winning bid will be getting a lot for the money on this one. Local pick-up is preferred, but I will help with shipping if you pay for it and set it up. Thanks for looking!
