1980 MG MGB Additional Info:

For sale is my 1980 MGB with 4-speed transmission with the very rare overdrive, which works well., and drops the cruising RPM below 3,000 at 70 MPH. This car was owned for 15 years by a lady in very, very dry Southwest Texas and the car has no visible rust anywhere. The car is a 1980 but is fitted with the much more attractive, earlier chrome bumpers and the ugly rubber ones were discarded years ago. I like driving it so the mileage after auction may be just slightly higher than in the picture.
It was recently repainted in a beautiful yellow, which has faded somewhat because of the strong sun light, but is still quite charming. The interior is a custom leather one, done by professionals and very pretty. At least I think it is leather -- if not, it is the best imitation I have ever seen. It has the rare luggage rack, a full trunk of spare parts, and the original spare tire and wheel. The wire wheels were imported from Germany and suit the car perfectly. The tires are "newish," and the car needs nothing. I recently drove it over 600 miles with no problems at all.
The top is brand new, as you can see, and the car was just tuned up with all essential fluids changed. It does not run hot, even here in Texas, and gets amazing gas mileage. I have set a reasonable reserve and am open to reasonable offers. I would appreciate a deposit upon your winning the auction, and the balance is due within 7 days. I prefer wire transfers because of all the funny cashier's checks out there. I do not accept PayPal at all except for the deposit.
I will help in any way with shipment, and the car can stay in my garage at no charge until you can arrange your shipping. The car is suitable for your flying in and driving it home. I would trust it to go anywhere.
