1962 MG MGA MK II Deluxe Competition Additional Info:

Listed is a 1962 MGA MK II Deluxe. This is a true documented original deluxe of which there are only 311 total that were produced. Manufacture date was 4/62. I have loads of documentation and can trace the ownership back into the early 1970's. The black color with red interior are the original color scheme's according to the British Heritage certification. Paint and interior are in excellent condition with no chips or dings. Chrome is bright, shiny and original. Car drives very well with no issue's. Motor and transmission are very quiet with no smoke or noise. Both have been rebuilt and have no more then 2000 miles. Correct Dunlop 4 wheel disc brakes have been very recently rebuilt with the calipers completely disassembled and rebuilt using new kits, hoses, and pads with the rotors turned and surfaced. Front suspension has just been rebuilt with new bushings and seals. Trunnions are in very nice unworn condition. Tires, including the spare have less then 100 miles since installation and are the correct 165 x 15 size. All gauges and electrical are in working condition with the original Lucas brand headlights for you purists. Dash cover, surrounds, and panels are new and are the correct deep red color. Seats are the correct MKII Deluxe/Twin Cam style.Top is in nice condition although, when I put the interior together, I decided not to install the top and side curtain bag and utilize the short tonneau as my weather protector. In other words the car never see's rain or the threat thereof. Side curtains are in decent condition with the original rubber starting to get hard. I don't believe I have ever had them on the car, don't really want to mar the paint. Side curtain bag is in decent condition but just a bit faded. Again, I have it but it was not a priority to install on the basis of my personal choice. I wasn't trying to be lazy, but the interior just looks better without all the clutter behind the seats....so much more of a cleaner look. Trunk is carpeted. Crank handle, brass hammer, and spare tire hold down are included. Wheels are the correct original Dunlop pin style knock offs. I have the original valve cover and brake master cylinder and they will be included.
I will be glad to answer any questions. I'm sure I've left out some detail... If you are familiar with MGA's then you know how often one of these Deluxe's comes up for sale. Never.!! I have what I think is a very reasonable reserve for the quality car I am offering. The 2-3 inch stack of documentation comes with the car.
Thank for looking and good luck bidding.
