1971 MG MGB Additional Info:
1971 MGB. This was a project I did in 2013. The engine, clutch, suspension, and interior is all new. I have been building British motorcycles for awhile and wanted to do a British car. I do not know what the actual milage is, the speedometer was broken when I got it at around 60K.I spared nothing on the engine. The body is in great shape. The person I bought it from said it had been stored in an airplane hanger since sometime in the 80s. The color is a corvette, cobalt blue, and is in decent shape, there are a few checks and a little overspray. I have buffed most of it out, it does look nice.I painted the engine compartment the original color because I intended to have it stripped and painted the original Teal Blue. There is one small bubble in the left front fender behind the wheel well, see last photo. I'll include a set of original rostyles wheels (like the spare) that need painting. The photos are taken last fall just before I stored the car for winter.
The reserve is confidential & less than what the car is worth. If it doesn't sell, I may have it painted next winter. This car is sold as is, where it is. There is no warranty, implied or otherwise. The buyer will be responsible for pickup &/or delivery.
The reason I decided to sell the car, is because I really like building the British motorcycles better. In 2012, I had surgery which I thought was the end my motorcycle riding, so I built this. Thanks to exercise and physical therapy, I'm back on the bikes. My wife does not want me to sell this because she likes to go for rides, but I need the space, so she's gotta go, (the car, not the wife).
Thanks for looking, and good luck.
