1962 MG Midget Additional Info:
Partially restored with an excellent interior, good example of an early sixties MG. Rear quarter panels showing some body rot and will need to be addressed. Strong engine with excellent compression. 4 speed transmission was rebuilt in 2015. Brakes redone in 2016. A lot of fun to drive. Comes with top but not in great shape but works, I usually drive it around town with the top off.On May-01-17 at 06:49:50 PDT, seller added the following information:I have a bunch of repair photos and can e-mail if requested.
You will see the progress of the floor board repairs as well as repairs done to the trunk (boot).I forgot there was some rust there.Also some photos of the interior restoration, I replaced the carpet and interior vinyl panels.Also there was never a shifter cover but found the correct one online and painted it a nice flat black.
Some photos attached with no trim, they were the photos I saw when I bought it on e-bay.Painted the wheels and had the transmission rebuilt by a guy in CT. Painted the engine compartment when the engine was out.
I had a guy repair those rear quarter panels, photos showing him working. Obviously, he did not do such a great job.Some photos of the top too.
Relisting with new Buy It Now, reduced from $5000 to $3500

I want to give more info about the rear quarter panels that need to be replaced.If you have a professional do it all, it would cost between $1500 - $2000. If you are handy then do it yourself, ie. cut out the old panels, weld in the new ones, then bondo.
Moss sells the exact metal panels for $50 each.You should have a professional do the paint. I paid a guy who works at the auto paint store do it on the weekend for about $200.
Or, someone who knows how to properly paint a car, this is a perfect project.So, you can get it all done for about $300 - $400 including materials.
I was going to do this a few years ago but never got around to it and I don't have the time nor the room anymore.So, I want to make it clear that for the money I am selling the car it might not be worth it to have it done professionally.This is a job for the "do it your selfer".
