1974 MG Midget Base Convertible 2-Door Additional Info:
1974 MG Midget Mk III with only 36,634 actual miles.
NO RESERVE
I have a clear Delaware title in my name showing actual miles. I have the chain of title on this car going back to 1976. This car is a real head turner!
Interior is in very good original condition. Seats, door panels, dash, and carpets are all in very good condition, showing very minimal signs of wear. I have added a JVC stereo with Kenwood speakers with Bluetooth (SiriusXM compatible) to be able to talk hands free because of state hands free cell phone laws.
Engine in very good condition.with many new parts, including radiator, fuel pump, etc. The carbs were adjusted last summer. I drove this car from Long Island to Wilmington, DE twice without any issues. That is 260 miles round trip each time. This is a real highway cruiser!
The exterior is original and has some dings and dents as shown in the photos. The is absolutely no rust except for some very minor surface rust here and there from a lack of touch up paint. The car is absolutely solid and so are the floor pans. This is a rare opportunity to own an all original, unmolested, timeless, British roadster. This is a great investment.
There are four brand new matching tires.
This car has a hard top with some scratches and an oxidation spot. The car; however, is free of oxidation and the paint shines right up. Water beads up on the car!
The negative:
Fuel gauge inoperative.
Needs rag top, but frame is there and hard top comes with car. A new soft top installed should cost you approximately $600 to $900 installed depending on your market and whether you want a rear window that zips down.
There is a very very minor oil drip, typical with these cars.
Missing spare tire and owner's manuals. I have the jack and tire changing tools.
Some dings and dents here and there, see pics.
I am only selling because I need hip surgery and I will not be able to physically get in and out of the car. This car is a blast to drive and spring time is just around the corner for you to enjoy!
Clean Delaware title showing actual miles!! This is a 43 year old vehicle. It is not a new vehicle. It is not a fuel injected car and has a manual choke. The carburetors need to be adjusted seasonally. This vehicle passed Delaware Safety Inspection in August 2016. Vehicle is sold as is.
I welcome pre sale inspections; however, inspection MUST be completed before the end of the auction. You cannot have an pre sale inspection after the the auction ends. The winning bidder will own this car after payment in full.
This is a legally binding contract. See below for the NADA Guide value of the vehicle! A $1000 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction by Paypal. The balance is due within 3 business days of the end of the auction. The vehicle must be picked up within 21 days of the end of the auction. Beginning the 22nd day, the vehicle can continued to be stored inside my friend's climate controlled storage facility for $45 a day. I will not sell this vehicle on an open title. The Delaware title has a notice of sale section that must be filed with Delaware DMV within 10 days in order to cancel my insurance, to prevent any license suspensions against me. I can accommodate your commercial transporter for pick up, but you are responsible for making arrangements and full payment of transportation. If you plan on driving this vehicle home, you must have a temporary tag registered to this MG or you can apply with NYS DMV for a temporary intransit tag. NYS DMV charges $12.50 and requires your driver's license, an insurance binder showing this MG is insured on your insurance policy, and of course the title properly signed over to you. I cannot loan my license plates as I have handicap plates and need to put into retention at Delaware DMV to also cancel my insurance. The pick up location is Farmingdale, NY 11735, not Delaware. This vehicle is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early, in the event of a local sale.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS NOT ALREADY ANSWERED IN THIS LISTING, PLEASE ASK!
