1950 MG Other Additional Info:
Up for auction, my 1950 Riley DHC, very rare. This is truly a barn find car I'm selling this because I have too many projects. Riley only made 500 hundred or so DHC's, this has the bigger 2.5 liter engine, It appears this car still has the original engine, I have looked for the engine number and have not located it. From what information I have researched the number can be several places on the block or not at all, if your a Riley expert and know better let me know. Inspecting the car it appears the engine has never been out. A restoration was started in the 1970's and never completed, car was repainted and still looks very good, as you can see I haven't wash or removed the dust for the eBay pictures. This car has no rust, it spent its life in Florida and here in North Carolina. The body wood is in very good condition, the wood on the folding top needs replaced it there as a pattern. There is a new never installed top and a tonneau cover included, both stayfast tan. The seats and door cards have been recovered in leather along with two of the arm rests the other two need covered. I have enough of the original leather bolt to finish them. All the glass is there not cracked, along with the chrome trim, The instruments are all there, as you can see one has been removed from the panel but I have it. The wood door trim is there and in very good condition. The chrome trim is there some was rechromed years ago and still looks good, I put two hubcaps on for the pictures and have the other two. I'm sure something is missing although I don't know what. Everything appears complete in the engine compartment the air canister is missing. I have removed the spart plugs and poured oil into the cylinders and nothing more, there's oil in the sump with no sign of water. I have what It think is the original Riley " Instruction Book" dated 2/50/2 I'm selling this car on a bill of sale, that's the way I purchased it here in North Carolina. The car is located in Aberdeen NC 28315. I will assist your shipper, please make your own arrangements, for shipping. The car is non running.
