1954 MG T-Series Additional Info:
We'd like to introduce you to Niles! This incredible example of the MG TF has been owned by the current owner since 1969 & the attention given to it's care is obvious from the first glance! Niles was purchased by it's caretaker in Joseph, Oregon following a full restoration. This is a fully numbers matching car, verified by the chassis horn & engine plaque (see photos of both in the gallery). Niles is chassis no. TF1565 & original no. XPAG/TF/31636. A full repaint happened in the 1980's, changing the car to the silver you see currently, with the original color being Birch Gray. Overall great condition on the paint & body with no rust! A few minor imperfections are outlined in the photos. The wood structure is extremely solid, just one advantage of being stored inside it's whole life. An auxiliary 8 gallon gas tank has been installed in 2015 to avoid the yearly cleaning & buildup issues of the factory tank inherent with these cars. The original gas tank is extremely solid as well & just needs a cleaning to be put into service again. This car runs, drives & stops just as it should & all instruments & switches work including the turn signals, horn & heater. The horns were replaced in 2014, the clutch has less than 300 miles on it & a 4.3:1 ratio rear end was just installed in 2016 by Dave Clark as well. The speedometer & clock were rebuilt in 2016, hence the current reading of less than 80 miles. Unknown actual mileage. Less than 300 miles have been driven per year & regular service has ensured it's longevity. The convertible top is in very good condition as well & comes with all the side curtains. Never driven in the rain & the wipers are currently disconnected as the switching assembly does not turn off. Niles is also an award winning car, taking first & second place in the All British Field Meet in Portland, Oregon in 2014 & 2015! One of only 9,600 built of the TF series production. Many many extra hard to find parts are also included including a King Dick jack & complete assembly, restored starting crank, new master brake cylinder, tonneau bars, new radiator fan, restored heater assembly, restored generator, starter straps, NOS ignition switch, NOS oil temperature gauge, tappet & valve cover gasket, driving light relays, rebuilt generator, distributor, starter & NOS generator end plate. Lots more extras are included & outlined in the photos. You will not be disappointed with Niles, one of the finest, most gingerly cared TFs for on the market today!
