1964 Mercury Comet Additional Info:
1964 cyclone comet k- code factory 4 spee, original dash top tac. factory 3:50 rear.Original 4 speed shifter, bucket seats & console car. This cyclone was restored about nine years ago at that time all new paint to original color (carnival red) all the interior was redone to original black. It has the original 289 4 bbl engine that came in the car in 1964. The car has sat for over 5 years and has not been cranked for that long also, so it will need mech work to be road worthy the exterior paint will need redone since it was outside in the weather when it was painted 9 years ago it was a very nice job the lower portions of it are straight & shinysee photo of door jam with data tag, dont know why the clear has came off like it has that is not primer on the top side it's actually clear coat. The only bad place on the body is the lower panel on pass side in front of rear wheel well (see photo) it will need a patch, the pans are pretty good surface rust from standing water over the years some pin holes but not rotted through. This is a rare 1st year cyclone & a factory 4speed like i said the interior was redone from head liner to carpet even the orig console was restored and all the interior still looks very nice no tears or rips the shop that did it charged $2,300 the reason I know this the guy who had it done is a friend of mine I've known him for over 40 years at one time he owned over 20 1964 cyclones this one was in his collection. This cyclone being a 1st year & factory 4 spee, with the dash top tac still there is well worth restoring if you are just doing a driver resto or a frame off these 64s are hard to find.
